How it Works

Pools need 3 essential components in order to maintain clarity and disinfect.

● FILTRATION
● CIRCULATION

SANITIZERS

Sanitizers are oxidizers like Chlorine, Bromine, Salt (Chlorine Generators)

An Ecosmarte System generates natural oxygen by passing the pool water through a proprietary chamber with a low voltage (DC) electrical current. This process causes the H20 (water) to split and produces 4 powerful non-toxic oxidizers: atomic oxygen 01 & 02, H202 (Hydrogen Peroxide) and OH all in gas form. (* on back???)

The oxidizers are almost twice as strong as chlorine and 3 times more powerful than bromine.

The Ecosmarte System produces 20-80 grams of oxidation per minute at a level that is not available with ozone systems. In fact, an ozination system would have to run for 24 hours to manufacture the same oxidation that an Ecosmarte System produces in 10 minutes!

To kill bacteria and algae ECOsmarte uses copper ionization. This safe form of purification was invented by NASA in 1967 for the Apollo Space Program to provide safe water and to control scale in cooling systems during space missions. The ECOsmarte System incorporates this same technology. The copper ionized by the ECOsmarte system are safe and essential for humans, plants, and animals, but are lethal to bacteria, algae and some viruses.

Ionic copper plates reverse polarity to maintain cleanliness. Copper ions do not evaporate like chlorine (water temperature is not a problem). They are stable and do not react to create toxic chemicals.

FILTRATION

In order to have crystal clear water no matter what sanitizer you choose, ECOsmarte, Chlorine, Bromine, etc. you need proper filtration to catch all the suspended particles dead or alive.

Diatomaceous Earth (D.E.) has always been the best, but requires additional maintenance. It catches particles from 5-10 microns.

Sand can only filter to 80 microns (cannot filter dirt)

The ECOsmarte Sand Filter catches particles as small as 5 - 15 microns. Open your existing filter, empty the sand and replace with ECOsmarte. It's that easy. Get DE quality with the convenience of sand.

CIRCULATION

Remember bigger is not better. Water needs to flow slowly through filters in order to get proper filtration. Having a large horsepower (HP) pump just forces the water so fast past the filters that it is unable to properly work.
